Are you watching Queen Millennia? Is that Hajime with a new haircut?
My bro surprised me by saying that. I didn’t expect him to remember. I was a little thing at the time they aired that series, and he is a tad younger than me.
Explaining him Galaxy Express 999 is from the same creator, I missed some scenes, so I had to rewind the movie. And then I heard his voice. Harlock’s voice. It was shocking, I didn’t know he was going to appear! And with the bird, too! One can’t possibly know how much I love these characters, but it was the first real anime I liked. I watched stuff like Heidi, and Peline, and Candy, because they were there, but I understood the charm of anime with Harlock and The Galactic.
Then, it came things like Captain Tsubasa, Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball and Ranma, and a good laugh I got from them. But it is now that I my stars have determined I had to re-encounter Matsumoto-san and his works. And met many more superb people’s stories.

This weekend, I find something that chilled me a bit. Or a lot. I’s named Trinity Blood, and the Peter Pan retelling caught me by the throat.
There is a priest and a mercenary, hunting vampires. And in the chapter I got, they go to Neverland to investigate the apparition of some blood-thirsty-fairies, just to find they’re the experiments some Barrie doctor has made to orphaned children… Wendy and Peter among them. I assure you, that’s my idea of a well-told nightmare.
